A button you press with your thumb while gripping the handle opens the carafe for serving, doing away with the need to partly unscrew the lid for pouring. This is the best carafe I’ve ever used. It holds almost a whole pot of coffee and it opens with a push button, not unscrewing which always left me wondering if I had it open far enough. It also has a swivel base so you can get to the handle easily even if it’s not facing you. I highly recommend it!

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE ZOJIRUSHI PREMIUM THERMAL CARAFE. THE 1.85 LITER IS A GREAT SIZE. I PERK COFFEE ON THE STOVE AND THE COFFEE STAYS PIPING HOT FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS. I LOVE THE PUSH BUTTON OPEN AND CLOSED POURING FEATURE. IT IS VERY EASY TO OPERATE. I HAVE USED MANY CARAFES OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CARAFES I HAVE PURCHASED AND I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY ANOTHER IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND I WOULD HAPPILY RECOMMEND THE ZOJIRUSHI BRAND.

Works as advertised. Button stopper is a great feature. Keeps coffee very hot. Glass liner does not impart any off flavors to beverages. This particular model is a good size for 2-4 people. Great price at Amazon – I checked around. Very happy with purchase.
